Training Description

This training provides a comprehensive overview of the new Guardianship Assistance Program (GAP) that went into effect July 1, 2019 and its impact on the Child Welfare system. GAP provides additional benefits to families who close their case in permanent guardianship and meet all GAP requirements. The presenters provide details on GAP components from initial placement with a relative or fictive kin, foster care licensure of the caregiver, documentation of GAP eligibility prior to case closure, and completing post GAP requirements.
