As parents, guardians, support providers, family and friends, it is our responsibility to introduce smart money management to our children to help prepare them for major financial decisions ahead. Imagine not knowing how to balance your checkbook or how much is best to pay on your credit card bill. Now, think about those financial lessons you learned the hard way. If we can help our children avoid such money mistakes, why wouldn't we, especially when resources are so easily accessible? Presenters from the Department of Financial Services share information on its financial literacy course and app for teens and young adults, Finance Your Future. Parents will learn how to assist their children in learning about finances.
