In today’s economy, having a post-secondary credential, whether it be a vocational certificate, associate degree or bachelor’s degree, is more essential than ever before. While over 85% of foster youth express a desire to attend college, few successfully obtain a degree or certificate. For foster youth to make their dreams a reality they will need guidance, motivation and support from caregivers and professionals to pursue their educational goals. This webinar will provide an overview of the range of post-secondary educational options available to foster youth, tips on how to create a college-going culture, and practical guidance about how to assist youth to access financial aid and successfully navigate the matriculation process.
