This workshop provides an overview of the new Levels of Licensure that went into effect July 1, 2018 and its impact on the child welfare system. The presenter provides details on the Levels of Licensure and highlight Florida's new Level 1 - Child Specific licensure type. An overview of the requirements for each level of Licensure will be provided as well as information related to the Level 1 non-safety related waivable requirements. The Level 1-Child Specific licensure type was developed to support Florida's new Guardianship Assistance Program (GAP). The GAP is designed to provide additional assistance to relative and non-relative caregivers.
