Sustaining a career in helping requires making our work more than tolerable—enjoyable! The Components for Enhancing Clinician Experience and Reducing Trauma (CE-CERT) model synthesizes evidence-informed components into five skills to help the helper remain emotionally regulated. Implementing these skills supports the enhancement of the real-time experience of the helper as they provide services to traumatically stressed populations, and promotes immediate recovery after a difficult experience.
