Training Description

Voices for Florida serves as the backbone agency for the Open Doors Outreach Network, serving survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and sex trafficking ages 10 to 24 in Florida. Open Doors services are standardized and consistent in all 32 counties being served. The COVID-19 pandemic has forced team members from the Open Doors Outreach Network to shift to a virtual format for service delivery, presenting enormous challenges and spurring tremendous creativity in continuing to fill the needs of survivors. This workshop highlights the innovations in service that have been made to keep survivors and teams together and to build resilience in times of great difficulty, and how Voices for Florida, acting as the backbone agency, has facilitated and supported this transition. Presenters provide demonstrations and roleplays featuring different forms of technology that they have found successful in building and maintaining relationships with survivors in the long term.
